Illposedness of the \alpha-SQG patch problem

Abstract: The \alpha-SQG equation is a family of inviscid models interpolating the 2D Euler and SQG. We will discuss the patch dynamics of the model and show that in a suitable regime of regularity, the patch problem is ill-posed in non-L^2 Sobolev spaces and Holder spaces.
