Abstract: In this talk, I will talk about several 1D models of 3D Euler and 2D Boussinesq equations which have stable self-similar blowup. I will also discuss briefly recent progress inspired by these models and Elgindi's construction of C^{\alpha} self-similar singularity of 3D Euler.
