Considerable research effort has been devoted to extracting information
from large amount of data generated by currently prevalent high-throughput
experiments in cell biology. Despite much progress on the analysis of
individual pathways, the determination of functional motifs and modules
heavily depends on personal experience. Here, we propose an automatic
cheme which identifies feedback and forward loops and thus defines
modules of dfferent sizes and complexity. We apply the methods to
several mostly common encountered cell networks and digging out the
underlying regulation skeleton.
