With recent advances in molecular technology, many biomarkers have been

developed to help clinicians to diagnose a disease or predict progression of a disease, such as cancer and dementia. Currently, the most commonly used method for assessing prognostic accuracy of biomarkers is a survival model, such as a Cox’s regression model or Kaplan-Meier method. However, such methods may not provide useful information to meet clinicians’ needs. In this talk, I will introduce some new developments on measuring and estimating prognostic accuracy of biomarkers, including time-dependent ROC curves.
