I will describe what is known about the classification problem of the examples of constant curvature and some of these connections, especially with complex and K?hler geometry, in this lecture. I will also examine some of the connections with dynamics of the geodesic flow, starting with a famous example of Katok of a Finsler metric on the 2-sphere that has only 2 closed geodesics.
