An efficient algorithm for computing intersection numbers on the Deligne - Mumford moduli spaces of stable algebraic curves of an arbitrary genus will be explained. A generalisation of the above construction to an arbitrary simple Lie algebra and its application to topology of the moduli spaces will also be given. The talk is based on a joint work with Marco Bertola and Di Yang.
