Global geometrical optics method is a new semi-classical approximation to the linear wave equations in the high frequency regime.
This method presents an approximate wave solution within first order asymptotic accuracy point-wisely, even around the caustics. In this talk, I will explain the basic idea of this method and report some new developments.
