"In group representation theory andharmonic analysis, branching problem concerns the decomposition of anirreducible representation of a group $G$ when restricted to a subgroup$H$.?Duflo's conjecture aims to treat branching problem in a geometricmanner. In this talk, we will especially discuss different aspects around thisconjecture and present some results. If time permits, we will also talk aboutan important but largely unknown case of branching problem."
